                         Welcome to my studio

My first conscious memory of the fascination with making things was sitting at the grinding wheel at my grandparent's farm.  As I peddled the stone wheel around and around shaping sticks into "usable tools" my thoughts were with the process, the origins of my being and why I was born.  I think I was around nine or ten years old.

I haven't found many answers...just more questions, so I continue.  There have been many avenues of investigation but as an adult the creative process has been the one that stuck. Currently I'm working with clay, photography and computer software. I love to see how the different mediums interact with one another and the discoveries made through working with them...meanings and ideas that come forward as I work through the physical process.

The picture gallery on this site currently consists of only my clay work.  If you would like to see some of my most recent creations, hop on over to http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/1-linda-spangler.html
